Brennan, Chris – Hellenistic Astrology: The Study of Fate and Fortune

This lecture will provide an overview of the history, philosophy and techniques of Hellenistic astrology, which is the original tradition of western astrology dating to the 1st century BCE. We will explore both the technical and metaphysical underpinnings of this system, and explain the way in which the construct was originally designed in order to study fate itself. The purpose of the lecture is to display how the techniques of Hellenistic astrology are still applicable in contemporary astrological practice, and how they may be used in order to study the fate, fortune and destiny of individual nativities.
