Although it is clear that ancient astrologers considered both the domicile and exaltation rulers of the signs to be of great importance, it isn’t clear how the earliest astrologers differentiated the two categories of planetary rulers, either philosophically or in practical application. In this talk, I will present a working hypothesis about what the underlying differences might have been and how we might use each category uniquely when reading birth charts.
