Meyers, Eric – Charged & Neutral Elements

We are accustomed to pairing the elements by active (fire, air) and receptive (water, earth) expressions. In addition, Eric proposes another pairing to consider – seeing the elements as either charged (fire, water) or neutral (air, earth). When stimulated, the charged elements increase in intensity and may overwhelm the neutral, disregarding practical reason and restraint. When passion diminishes, the neutral elements secure a status quo. The elements are locked in an extraordinary relationship between dynamic intensity (charged) vs. logical and stable frameworks (neutral).
