Profections are the basic “time lord” technique in Hellenistic astrology, and are paradigmatic of other time lords such as Zodiacal Releasing and Decennials. Following the sign-based method exemplified by Paulus of Alexandria, a 4th century CE Egyptian astrology, yearly. monthly, and daily profections can provide much detail in the unfoldment of the natal promise.
