Terry, Gisele – The Moon and the Relational Nature of Growth

This presentation provides an interdisciplinary context for understanding human development and its application to chart analysis. Because the meanings and sequence of the signs of the zodiac parallel developmental stages, it is possible to form a hypothesis about human growth that dissolves apparent contradictions between nature vs. nurture and fate vs. free will. The Moon, representing the relational nature of growth, becomes the symbolic bridge between the two. Drawing from current research about human growth, case examples will illustrate how to apply these developmental meanings of the moon to charts of clients from infancy through the entire lifespan.
