Tompkins, Sue – Astrology and Psychopathology

Mental health is more a goal to inspire to, than a destination routinely enjoyed, as is illustrated by the fact that as many as a quarter of people in the West, in a single year, will seek treatment for some kind of psychological distress. Another recent estimate suggests that a third of people who reach the age of 65 will, at some stage, suffer with some form of dementia. Depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsion, addiction, Alzheimers, schizophrenia, ADHD – the list of labels we may fall prey to, is endless. Today Sue will explore the astrology and psychology behind some of these conditions and, where possible, consider ways forward for sufferers, careers and society at large.
